Tomorrow, December 24, 2011 is Christmas Eve as well as the new moon. BAM! Double the symbolic power for newness: birth, nativity, newborns, new dreams and creations. And New Years coming up.
Have you ever done a New Moon manifestation ritual? It’s a new one for me. I plan to make room amongst the holiday madness to attend to the spirit of the moment.
In midlife, when wisdom yearns to be expressed and energy is steady, it’s joyful to focus on what is NEW inside us that wants to come alive.
At 52, I’m expecting a newborn. This baby is the product of years of deep exploration, study, creativity, ritual and intense growth. It’s soulwork made into service.
The idea of a new career – a ‘practice’ of inspiring other women to create a joyful midlife shift - germinated in May. Since then my pregnancy “symptoms’ have been intense. Nausea (uncertainty). Hunger (desire to manifest). It’s kicked me in the gut many times (fear and dread).
Soon it will be the time to let it go, release, and birth it. The labor pains are intense!
So I’ll state my intentions for the best possible delivery of this brainchild. And that she will be healthy, hearty, and loveable. I look forward to showing her off on or near Jan 1.
What in you wants to be born? How do you tend those urges? The world is waiting for your own creative children to come alive.
In its most basic form, create a sacred space and write: “I accept these things into my life now, or something better – for my highest good, and for the highest good of all concerned.” Then list your intentions. Be careful what you wish for.

Hey Christine,
Good luck with your new voyage. I can see you doing an amazing job working with women, inspiring them to push themselves into new areas, new careers, new loves. Sounds like something is quickening in you! I’m looking forward to hearing more about this when we see you this coming summer. (Yes, it’s still happening…)
